Flora Giorgio

Flora Giorgio is a trained pharmacist and joined the European Commission in 2006 to work in DG Information Society and Media (now DG CNECT) as policy and project officer in the ICT for Health Unit.

She joined DG SANTE in 2012 and since 2015 she has been heading the Health Technology Assessment team responsible for the drafting and the successful negotiating for the Regulation on Health technology Assessment. From July 2021, Flora has been first Deputy Head of Unit, then since March 2023 Acting Head of Unit Head and since 16 July appointed Head of Unit of Unit of Unit D3 “Medical Devices”.

Before joining the European Commission, Flora has been working in community pharmacy and she has been Secretary General of the Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union representing community pharmacists.
